A reference in abrasives
Abrasive materials are industrially used to be applied through some kind of mechanical stress, in order to wear, grind or cut other materials with a lower hardness (by crushing, grinding, cutting, polishing or lapping). A good abrasive is notable for its hardness, toughness, wear resistance, porosity and a suitable particle size distribution.
Navarro SiC produces green and black silicon carbide for use in the abrasive industry. Thanks to its extraordinary hardness, particle shape and a carefully crafted particle size distribution, silicon carbide produced by Navarro SiC is suitable for the manufacture of grinding wheels and discs, sandpaper and abrasive fabric.
Loose grain silicon carbide manufactured by Navarro SiC is used for grinding and cutting of glass, marble and granite, as well as for machining of metal parts. On a suitable support, it can be used in polishing of any solid material, such as cast iron, copper, bronze, aluminum, zinc, glass, marble, granite, coal, plastics and wood.
The topmost quality of Navarro SiC products is recommended in high-precision applications such as cutting and polishing of silicon wafers and semiconductor materials for photovoltaic or electronic industries.

Our portfolio
To meet the needs of its customers in the various fields of application, Navarro SiC produces both standardized macro and micro grains according to FEPA, ANSI or JIS standards. We deliver abrasive grains of the F series (bonded abrasives) for use on discs, wheels or abrasive media, and the P series (coated abrasives) for sandpaper or abrasive cloth.
