Vadillos Plant
Navarro SiC started up in 1950 in Puente de Vadillos, a small village in the municipality of Cañizares (Cuenca), the first production plant of silicon carbide in Spain.
Over the time, Navarro SiC has continued investing in its expansion and modernization, turning it into a reference for the production of high quality silicon carbide. The plant is equipped with 6 groups of Acheson furnaces.
Vadillos plant has a yearly production capacity of 10,000 tons of raw silicon carbide and 10,000 tons of processed products (grinding, classification and treatment).
Mansilla Plant
In order to increase production capacity and to reinforce its leadership in the sector, Navarro SiC launched in 1983 a second silicon carbide production plant in the village of Mansilla de las Mulas (León).
Mansilla plant is equipped with 3 groups of Acheson furnaces, and it is capable of producing 10,000 tons per year of raw silicon carbide, which is either supplied directly to the market or delivered to Vadillos plant for further processing.
