Caring for the health of our employees and customers is the most important motivation in our daily work. Navarro SiC has made substantial efforts over the last years to improve working conditions and ensure the compliance with all applicable legislation on health and safety in the workplace.

A management system based on the use of both internal and external resources guarantees the maximum efficiency in this task. A good example of this is the significant reduction of the values of airborne dust, which are periodically monitored and never exceed the values allowed by legislation.

EC regulation 1272/2008 on classification, labeling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP regulation) states that European companies must classify any substance they commercialize. In accordance with CLP regulation and based on a continuous update of all available scientific studies, raw and processed silicon carbide (SiC) is classified as non-hazardous substance.

In addition to the above, Navarro SiC is committed to adhere to existing programs in order to ensure the safety and sustainability of their production, such as REACH standard.

Together with SiCMa (Silicon Carbide European Manufacturers), Navarro SiC has prepared and maintains the safety data sheets supplied along with silicon carbide (CAS 409-21-2, EC 206-991-8) according to the provisions of Annex II to European Regulation (EC) 1907/2006.
